Please note upon booking a 50% non refundable deposit will need to be paid and the bill to be settled prior to hair installation.
Hair extensions after care guide - everything you should know
You've had your gorgeous new hair fitted, what's next? Taking good care of them and making them last!
Remember this is human hair so you will need to look after it just as you would with your own hair.
Important info
Hair extensions refit intervals should be between 8-10 weeks
Regular maintenance treatment includes top up packs and breaks in between refits of 3 days plus. If you can go a week- two weeks before having your hair back in then that's great!
Hair extensions are coloured in the manufactures process, certain colour pigments can wash to a lighter tone within the first few washes. This is perfectly normal and isn't anything to worry about! I always recommend using a colour protecting shampoo and conditioner for use with these shades
For the keratin bonds to fully set in your hair it's recommended to not wash your hair for the first 2-3 days
Daily care
Use sulphate free shampoos and conditioners only
Use a macadamia mask 2-3 times a week to keep hair soft and shiny
After washing hair squeeze water out with a towel do not rub hair in the towel
NEVER brush hair extensions when wet! ONLY when dry
Do not brush between scalp and bonds
Try to air dry and then use the cool setting on your hairdryer, heat is you biggest enemy and can soften the bonds over time.
Be careful when using a curling iron/straightening iron. You do not want to apply any heat on the bonds where the extension is attached to your hair. This can heat the bonds and soften the bonds
Use heat protecting sprays
Braid or tie your hair in a loose ponytail when sleeping
You should never go to bed with wet hair
Swimming is not recommended when using extensions
Avoid Sea water and getting sun cream in the hair, this can discolour the hair and turn blonde hair pink!
If you regularly use a sauna or steam room make sure hair and bonds are completely dry afterwards
Please bare in mind hair extensions are a high maintenance service, so to keep the hair in its luxurious condition this guide must be followed. This will insure you'll get the longest last with your hair which can be up to 18 months of use!
Hair installation rules
Please make sure that your natural hair is washed prior to installation, think Squeaky clean! Your hair must be free from any oil, leave in conditioners, balms or any natural oils. Your hair must be fully dried before installation. If you arrive with unclean hair this will add unnecessary time to your appointment and an extra fee will be charged. The same applies for the removals/refit.
